UPCOMING EVENT:
RIVERTHATFLOWSBOTHWAYS
A 3-channel video installation with Scott D. Miller
 284 Lafayette St. #‎4C, NYC

Friday, May 13th 5:00 - 9:00 PM
Saturday, May 14th 2:00 - 8:00 PM
Sunday, May 15th 12:00 - 6:00 PM

RIVERTHATFLOWSBOTHWAYS is inspired by natural phenomena and manmade disturbances along the banks of two river estuaries, the Hudson and the Garonne River in France. In the same way that Kozak's video derives from images of closely observed reflections, Miller’s score for string ensemble evolves from a series of hymn-based chords.

“Heliotrope” at ODETTA Gallery

 at ODETTA Gallery

In James Joyce’s masterpiece, Finnegan’s Wake, the heliotrope is one of several key motifs, symbolizing resurrection, rebirth, revolution, and enlightenment. As we move through winter into spring, these artists’ works uniquely address the range of meanings, both physically and socially, that this metaphor inspires.

Jan. 15 – March 6, 2016
